Tired

Posted by Amber R

I am so tired. I usually hold up pretty well, but something has just been off the last few days. The house is starting to resemble a home again after bringing all the stuff in from Houston, but it's slow going. I hate clutter. I hate all this STUFF. Can't it just stay simple? And CRT class is kicking my butt. I'm just not grasping it. HELP!

Lazy Blogger

Oh My Gosh! I just got a bajillion whiny emails saying I have not updated this since people stopped clapping and Tinkerbell died... You would not believe the fairy dust I have to clean up. I'm so sorry!.

I am so busy with discovering time doesn't stand still, selling my soul to Google, just generally being a mother to my kids, my day is full to overflowing from the moment my children manage to unlock my bedroom door and use me as a jumping castle to midnight. I am happy with that. as well you should know.

I vow if one more person emails me to ask why I haven't posted today I will start posting pictures of toe fungus, or fecal murals. You wanna test me? Don't hold your breath though, you're likely to turn blue..

LoL! NOT REALLY! This amusing little story is brought to you by the "I am a lazy blogger" generator. Try it out here!

All boy

Little dude has decided that everytime he needs to pee, he is going to take off his diaper and "mark his territory" on the nearest possiable spot. Ick! He's only a little over a year old. We aren't supposed to be dealing with this yet! Heck, I can't even get Tomboy fully potty trained yet, and she's over two. HELP!

Today, in a nutshell

Posted by Amber R

Dog chases Princess down hall.
Princess chases dog back down hall.
Dog steals Tomboy's ball.
Tomboy screams at him, tells him she's a ghost, and runs after him like a mad woman for over thirty minutes.
Dog gets tired and crawls under entertainment center.
Little dude decides to follow dog under entertainment center and gets stuck.
Little dude cries so dog cries.
Princess gives them both a lecture on crawling into tight spaces.
Tomboy decides it looks fun and attempts to crawl under as well.
Little dude gets out and sits on Tomboy.
Princess lectures them both on why they shouldn't do it.
Dog comes out and chases Princess down the hall.
Repeat 50 times.

*sigh* I have a headache and three (four counting the dog) very tired kids. It's been a good day.

8 RANDOM THINGS ABOUT ME!
1. My tongue is pierced.
2. I am anal about saving money. Seriously... I can make a dollar stretch REALLY far.
3. I finally started losing weight once I decided that I loved the weight I was at and didn't want it to change. Weird.
4. I love to cook.
5. I don't like sweets much. I will eat them sometimes, but would usually rather have something else. Except when I'm pregnant. Then don't even tempt me.
6. I hate clutter. Clutter includes hundreds of pictures on the wall. *Shivers* Just give me photo albums, thank you.
7. I have not run my air conditioner or heater in 3 days and 18 hours. And I think I just might have to turn it on today. Blah.
8. I love football. Let me rephrase that... I'm a football FANATIC. And the majority of my guy friends hate it. Go figure.

Update

Ok, I give in. Apparently when you converse reguarly with other bloggers, you are supposed to keep your own current. Go figure.

Kids:
They are great. Little dude is walking now, although carefully and no more than about ten steps at a time. He also is reguarly using the dog as a pillow when taking a break from playtime. Poor dog.
Tomboy is talking more, finally. She just had to find her voice I guess. She also has one hell of a temper on her. No clue where she got it. Her new thing is that she wants to sleep with her truck. No baby dolls for her.
Princess is doing fantastic. She has made friends with one of the neighbors and talks the poor girl's ear off. The other girl is 8, but they play great together. She is learning to write her name and currently scared of Halloween. We're working on that one.

Job:
Ugh. Don't go there. Most of you know we were unexpectedly laid off and lost the truck. $20,000 is not chunk change, and I am sure once I do the taxes the total amount that went into it will be higher. It is strange though... after the initial panic over not having a job, we were both very much at peace with the situation. Some things are just meant to be, and I don't think this was one of them. I am working two jobs from home now, both of them paying pretty decently and still allowing me to keep up with kids and school. E-mail me for the links to the companies if you need them.

School:
My number one stress at the moment. Grades from last block are officially in. My 4.0 GPA remains in tact. Good thing, since I have to keep 3.8 or above to keep from losing my full ride law school offer. I have got to talk some with the law firm this week, and am actually excited about the next few years. I am taking my first legal course this block, and it is KICKING MY BUTT. I still have a perfect grade, but the vocabulary is outrageous. I have gone from having to study two to three hours a week to having to study ten to twelve. It's ok though... I know it will all pay off in the end. I have also started to study for LSATS. The score this firm requires to continue in their program is enough to make my stomach turn, but everyone seems confident that it is possiable. I only wish I had the same level of confidence.

Bargains:
I have not been posting the deals because so many of the rest of you do and it just feels repetitive! But here are my monthly totals:

Walgreens:
$7.89 total out of pocket
$178.52 total saved from coupons/store sales
$9.27 total aquired for next month's rebate
CVS:
Haven't been yet (I know, shoot me)

Totals are lower than usual, but it's ok because we were well stocked and dealing with the job change. We took stock, and apparently we have enough cleaning products to last almost two years now. YIKES. Good thing I have closet space and an understanding husband.

So that's the update. If I forgot anything, let me know. And I will try to update more often... I promise!
